OPEN CALL – STAND FOR CULTURE FELLOWSHIP

OVERVIEW

Cambodian Living Arts and Creative Industries of Cambodia Association for Development (CICADA) are pleased to announce the Stand for Culture Fellowship. Stand for Culture Fellowship is a new program aims to build human resources in and outside of arts and cultural sector focusing on advocacy and cultural policy.

Six representatives from leading arts and cultural institutions collectively established CICADA after the arts community had participated in several consultancy meetings in order to seek for supports for the arts sector.  

CICADA has been registered with the Ministry of Interior since July 2022. CICADA is a members association, which envisions a diverse and flourishing Cambodian society where cultural and creative industries are recognized, valued, and thriving. This fellowship is created to build skills and knowledge of people who might participate in CICADA as members or on the Steering Committee in future.

According to the Training Needs Assessment with potential future fellows and key partners, professionals in the arts sector wish to be exposed to various skills such as data collection and how to use and interpret the collected data, networking, and lobbying. These skills are appropriate and beneficial which fits really well within the Stand for Culture Fellowship.

Stand for Culture Fellowship is looking for artists, writers, and cultural practitioners (e.g. exhibition curators, festival organisers, community arts based group leaders, arts and culture researchers, publishers…) as well as those who are working in development fields and use arts for their works to apply and join this exciting program.
